Well, I have good news and bad news on that front! The good news is that we did figure out Caduceus' level 16 feat, and it's Observant. The bad news is that he still has a mystery feat floating around, since he got another one at level 19.

But here, let's show our work:

We know that Cad took a +1 to INT at level 16, and since it was his only ability to score to improve, we know it was part of a feat. There are a handful of options that confer +1 INT alongside another ability, but only one that accounts for the increase in passive perception mentioned the other night in C3E115. We know Cad already had proficiency in perception, which at level 20 would give him a +11 to his perception score (adding together 5 for his 20 wisdom score plus 6 for his proficiency bonus). This would give him a passive perception of 21. However, during C3E115, Matt asked who had the best passive perception out of the Nein, and Taliesin said that his was a 26 (at about 02:07:02 on the twitch VOD, 1:39:42 on beacon).

There are two feats that could have significantly bumped Cad's passive perception while also gaining a +1 INT: Skill Expert and Observant. However, Skill Expert, which confers expertise in a skill, would have doubled his proficiency bonus, making his perception at level 20 a +17 and giving him a passive perception of 27. Since it was a 26, that means that his passive perception jumped by +5.

As a reminder, this is what Observant grants:

Increase your Intelligence or Wisdom score by 1, to a maximum of 20.

If you can see a creature's mouth while it is speaking a language you understand, you can interpret what it's saying by reading its lips.

You have a +5 bonus to your passive Wisdom (Perception) and passive Intelligence (Investigation) scores.

Ergo, we can be reasonably confident that Caduceus took Observant at level 16. Thanks for mentioning it in your tag—it meant we had it top of mind while watching the episode and could spot the evidence!
